J&B Stables Fall 2015 Hunter Pace & Trail Events

October 24th & 25th - Halloween 

Come join J&B Stables for our last two weekends of 2015 trail fun! The courses will start with an obstacle course in our indoor arena. All obstacles will be optional but there will be prizes for the best run. Obstacles will include tarps, gates, mail boxes, and some secret home-designed ones!

Riders will then head out from the indoor and do a 4-6 mile trip around our beautiful farm. Almost all jumps will be open, and the footing is beautiful! Our events are suitable for all disciplines and types of riders!

Come and ride one day or both each weekend, ride start times are between 8AM and noon, or after noon by pre-registration only. We hope to see you there!

J&B Stables Mother's Day Weekend Hunter Pace & Trail Event

May 9th & 10th, 2015

Come join J&B Stables for a weekend of trail fun! The course will start with an obstacle course in our indoor arena. All obstacles will be optional but there will be prizes for the best run. Obstacles will include tarps, gates, mail boxes, and some secret home-designed ones!

Riders will head out from the indoor and do a 3-4 mile trip around our beautiful farm. We have selected the trails to minimize mud and maximize fun! Select jumps will be open, depending on the footing. 

Our goal for the weekend is a relaxed and positive experience for all of the riders - oh - and great fun! We hope to see you there!

Come join us for a Halloween-themed hunter pace and poker run! We are planning a weekend full of fun for all types of riders. The ride will be approximately 4-6 miles and will take a little over an hour. All jumps are optional; the only requirement is to have fun! The jumps range from 18” to 3’7” and are an eclectic mix of traditional cross-country obstacles and natural objects. We welcome both English and Western riders. The course has a variety of trail-proofing obstacles and winds through our haunted woods! Halloween costumes are encouraged and there will be a prize for the best costume.

First ride out is at 9AM and last ride out is at 2PM. The fees are $40 per rider for one run and one poker hand, $10 for additional runs, and $5 for additional poker hands. Entry forms can be mailed in or e-mailed to the addresses below.

Come join us for our first ever hunter pace! J&B Stables is in the process of constructing a full cross country course of jumps from 18” to 3’7” throughout the beautiful 140 acre property. The plans are set for upwards of forty obstacles of varying heights. The jumps wind through rolling pastures, meadows, and tranquil woods. The best part – the farm features a beautiful view of our slice of the Finger Lakes region.

A hunter pace is a timed trail ride with teams of 2-4 riders. The ride is approximately 4-6 miles long and will take a little over an hour. All jumps are optional; the only requirement is to have fun! The event is open for both English and Western riding. Teams are sent out every ten minutes; first ride out is at 9AM and the last ride out is at 2PM. Fee is $35 per rider for one run, and $10 for additional runs. Entries submitted after September 3rd will be subject to a $5 late fee.
